Strawberry picking in Leeds

A word of the wise ‘’the best berries are usually right in the middle of the bush, so don’t be afraid to hunt’’.
The summer is here and we have taken a look at some places around where we can enjoy our time. So, I decided to talk about Horsforth pick your own (Strawberry picking in Leeds).
Have you been there before?
In the last weekend I went with my family to Horsforth pick your own and we greeted by two huge fields of strawberry plants. And we took two massive baskets from the farmer. Then we headed for the fields to pick our strawberries.at the end, we should take our baskets to the cashier. The berries are bought by weight 4.50 bound for a kilo. It is a mazing place and good experience to pick yours by your hands and eat it fresh.
The site is quite simply a group of fields with a small hut for the cashier who is friendly. There is car parking but there are no toilets or hand washing on site. So if you are going to go, bring wet wipes for sticky fingers and cash to pay with.
Here are the place I’d recommend for you to visit with your family or your friends to enjoy your time. Get out into the fresh air, enjoy the scenic view from a local farm and search for the juicy and red strawberries.
The address:
Horsforth pick your own
West End Lane LS18 5ES
The fields are open from 10 a.m till 7 p.m.
You can pick strawberries and raspberries at this nice farms in the summer and pumpkin in the winter.
You can enjoy the super sweet fruit with ice-cream and blend them with ice cream for a delicious milkshake or even make your own jam.

The first day was an introduction for the course contain. Furthermore, the tutor has illustrated the challenges that might face international students with new learning styles and also how to deal with them. The second day we had a class in the morning. It was about critical thinking which is a new approach that many universities follow it as one of most important teaching methods in the Uk. Critical thinking is the way to ask question to yourself about the purpose of the text and seek more information and evidences about what the author writes about. In other words, critical thinking is to analyses and evaluate the information which you read to demonstrate understanding of the text correctly.
The other way of new teaching methods in the Uk is a seminar. It is a kind of collective work to discuss the information in a polite way. It is an opportunity to show cooperation in work and exchange the information. Seminar is an attempt to show understanding of the information that you have read and booth the joint cooperation between students. We had a seminar in the last Thursday about a good and poor reader characteristics. my new colleagues were quite exciting to discuss the information that they have read. I think the seminar went well. it has been interesting indeed and we are looking forward to the next seminar.
The hardest part is the way that you going to manage your time. The study in the Uk is significantly base on independent learning, which means students have to spend a lot of time studying on their own. On the one hand, we were used to the teacher feed us information through the lecture and the restricted books to pass the test. On the other hand, in the Uk the role of the teacher is to guide us, and we have to find the way that suits us. Ultimately, it would be huge challenges to get used to new learning style. However, I believe that determination and hard work pay off.

It has been nearly a month since I came to Leeds. I am very excited to find that there is a very rich cultural life in Leeds, which is good news for me, because my major is Cultural Creativity and Entrepreneurship, which is extremely related to culture.
As soon as I came here, I found many posters about the performance on the pillars of the street.
When I saw the performance which is named Grease, my friend and I were very excited, so we immediately searched the performance information on the website of the Leeds Grand Theater. We bought tickets for the performance, and really looked forward to the experience.

When I walked into Leeds Grand Theater, I was completely shocked. It was a multi-floor theater, and my seat was on the third floor.
What amazed me was that I found there were only two Chinese people, my friend and I, and the residents who came to see the musical show included not only the young but also the old, which was very different from China. In China, people seldom go to the theatre to watch performances, especially the elderly.
Another point is that I found that most of the audience would buy a glass of beer to watch the performance. I enjoyed the free and relaxed atmosphere very much.

Grease is a musical, telling a love story, which means there will be a lot of music in it. This is also the most exciting part of the whole performance for me.
I am familiar with all the music, but I never listen to them in the theatre, which sung live by the actors. Music and dance are intertwined, which makes me enjoy the performance. Although I am a little far away from the stage and even can’t see the actors’ faces clearly, I can feel the changes of their feelings and moods from their performances and songs, and have a sense of substitution.
At the end of the performance, everyone stood up, applauded and sang the theme song with the actors.

This is my first time to enjoy the performance in the theater and it is a very wonderful experience. Apart from the performance itself, I like the characteristics of Leeds Grand Theater very much.
This is an old theatre, all the decoration and layout have shocked me. I enjoy this performance very much and hope to watch another performance next time.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.
Why do this?
The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.
To help you get started, here are a few questions:
You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.
Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.
When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
